Side-Only Sleepers:
Troubleshooting/FAQ
Pillow is too firm
-Make sure you follow the fluffing instructions.
-Only use a gusseted pillowcase like a Noble Pillowcase to avoid compression.
-Follow the pillowcase washing/drying instructions; if it shrinks, it will compress and make the pillow stiff.
-Try removing the filling from stiff areas.
-If you received softer fill types like memory foam, try switching out or mixing.
-If you need an even softer fill, don't hesitate to contact us.

Pillow is too soft
-One or more sections may be replaced with firmer stuffing.
-If you are still in your 30 day trial period, you can exchange your pillow for a new pillow with a different fill type.
-You can fluff the pillow less often

Want to feel more neck support
-Be sure to follow directions for your sleeping style on pages 3,4 or 5 first.
-Contact us for a free neck support booster for additional targeted neck support.
-When pulling the neck support into position, be sure to include the base support (section 4); you may need to pull from underneath the bottom of the pillow.
-If you need a firmer fill type please let us know; one or more sections may be replaced with different stuffing.
-In some cases, the pillow may be rotated or flipped over. The pillowcase can be put on to line up with the new orientation. (pillowcase may be repositioned for new orientation).

I can't get used to the natural fibers/clumpy
-A bamboo pillow-topper smooths out the texture. Reversible to choose a preference of a thicker or thinner side.
-Switch the stuffing out with CertiPur-US certified memory foam or other soft fill.

I don't have a neutral posture like in Figure 1
-You may need more time transitioning. One handful at a time spread out over a tolerable time frame. Don't force "perfect posture" too quickly.
-Certain situations like GERDS or surgery may require different elevation; consult your health specialist.

My pillow stopped working/feeling good
-Be sure you perform maintenance and frequent fluffing, especially if it feels flat.
-Reassess. Maybe you changed, especially after travel, prolonged sitting, or positive postural improvements.
-You may need Pillow-care (learn more on our website). Many specialists recommend replacing your pillow every 6-12 months. Everyone is different; some variables include hygiene, toxin exposure, and environment. With pillow-care or self/home re-stuffing, there is no need for a new pillow.

Snoring/trouble breathing
-Check to see if the head is tilted too far back or forward (too much cervical flexion or extension) Start by adjusting section 1 and then 6 if needed.
*Snoring and certain types of sleep apnea can also be caused by alcohol, overeating, or eating too close to bedtime.

Side sleeper only, and the pillow doesn't seem set right
Make sure you follow the directions to convert the pillow for your sleeping style on page 5. The pillow comes set to a combination style by default. Add fill to section 8 of the core to remove the recessed area.

The fill moves around
The zoned construction keeps the right amount of structure in the correct places. Fill movement within the sections allows for necessary contouring; some fill shifting is normal and beneficial.

Too hot
A bamboo pillow-topper or silk pillowcase adds additional thermoregulation.

The pillowcase doesn't fit
Follow the care instructions to avoid shrinkage unless you intend to keep your pillow loft low and you feel your case is baggy; in this instance, you may shrink to fit.
You can purchase extra cases anytime. -Pillowcases/Toppers

How to Clean
These first two methods are the most recommended:

Method 1: Remove the pillow fill and wash the pillow shell per the pillowcase instructions. Dry the pillow fabric completely. Refill the pillow shell with the stuffing. Reassemble the pillow.

Method 2: Sprinkle baking soda over the entire pillow surface. Let the baking soda sit for at least an hour. Use a vacuum with an upholstery brush to thoroughly remove the baking soda.

If you need to refresh the fill, there are a few options:

-Replace the fill yourself https://noblepillow.com/products/fill-for-head-lower-body-pillows

-Pillow-care https://noblepillow.com/products/pillow-care

-Follow the washing instructions below based on your fill type

Memory Foam Fill- Wash the outer pillow and core separately by hand or use a delicate wash cycle with mild detergent. For best results remove the fill in the neck support and wash in a delicate bag separately. Rinse the pillow parts carefully. Line dry with the zipper system open for airflow. If drying in the machine, use a low heat setting. Wool dryer balls can be used to speed up the drying process.

Latex Fill- Dilute laundry detergent in a bucket of water and run the soapy water over the parts in need, squeezing gently from time to time until the water runs clear. Rinse with clean water and press out the water. Line dry with the zipper system open for airflow.

Wool Fill- Method 1: Using a wool-safe detergent, launder the outer pillow and the core separately on a handwash or wool cycle with cold water. Line dry with the zipper system open for airflow. Method 2: Dissolve wool-safe detergent in cold water and soak the pillow parts separately for 15 minutes, flipping it a few times. Squeeze out the soapy water and soak the pillow in clean water for another 15 minutes. Line dry with the zipper system open for airflow. Note: Drying may take up to 2 or 3 days. Do not machine dry.

Important Tips:

-Use a safety pin to keep zippers from opening during the wash.

-Avoid using hot water as it may damage the pillow.

-Never use a hairdryer to speed up drying, especially for latex pillows.

-When washing different pillow types: Wash them separately in a lingerie or delicate laundry bag

Troubleshooting/FAQ
Why is there an extra pillowcase on the enclosed pillow
The case is for use when the regular pillow is used separately after pregnancy. If you are using the complete unit, you may remove the case and save it for after birth.

The pillow is too firm
-Make sure you follow the fluffing instructions.
-Follow the washing/drying instructions; if it shrinks from improper washing, it will compress and make the pillow stiff. If this happens, more cases are available online.
-Try removing the filling from stiff areas.
-If you need softer fills, don't hesitate to contact us.

My pillow stopped working/feeling good
-Be sure you perform maintenance and frequent fluffing, especially if it feels flat.

-You may need Pillow-care (learn more on our website). Many specialists recommend replacing your pillow every 6-12 months. Everyone is different; some variables include hygiene, toxin exposure, and environment. With pillow-care or self/home re-stuffing, there is no need for a new pillow.

Extra Information
Side-only sleeping with the top leg in front and off of the bottom leg is widely recommended (usually, sleeping on the left side is best). This position may be advised as early as 25 weeks. There are different schools of thought; since this time period may vary, consult your specialist. If it is too early for you to convert to this sleeping posture, you may remove the regular lower body pillow and replace it later in your pregnancy.

Post-pregnancy, the pillows may be removed from the cover and used independently to support you and your baby. New mothers love using the regular lower body pillow for back and/or side support, and the base makes a perfect nursing pillow. In addition, your pillow can be stacked on the base to provide additional height during feedings if needed.
